Agree, this watch is done right on many levels: color coordination of elements that you mentioned, great 7-day caliber that fills the entirety of the back side, great accuracy, etc.
Pure Class!!!

I agree so much that I got two in the new colors, and eyeing a third one (in obsidian black).
Cool one!

Is the medallion on the rotor in rose gold or yellow gold??
I spent some time with the IWC folks last week at Palexpo.

This is a company there is doing so much right these days. Having the new pieces immediately available is like a breath of fresh air. Got to try on all the new releases - personal favorite was the Obsidian dial perpetual. The Eternal is mind blowing - but...
Thanks a lot for your kind words

and for the info and picture of the perpetual in obsidian black. Actually, I am planning to add this exact version to my collection
Great choice!

Visually, the Obsidian dial wears a lot smaller than the other colors. The gold railtrack and sub-registers draw in and frame the dial nicely. A lot of the specified thickness is due to the domed sapphire glass so the case doesn’t appear too thick either....
Thank you very much!

And this case size works for me much better than a couple of my sub 40mm dress pieces.
